2026 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival: From Policy Framework to Ecological Implementation, Asia's Web3 New Benchmark

1、 Unprecedented scale: Asia's top event, gathering global power

This carnival is jointly organized by Wanxiang Blockchain Laboratory and HashKey Group, with "Mountain, Wind, Cloud, and Sea" as the four main theme stages, focusing on the integration of traditional and encrypted finance, AI+Web3, and RWA (Real World Assets) as the three core themes. The event attracted over 50000 attendees, 400 guest speakers, and 200 participating projects from around the world, covering all areas of Web3 including exchanges, wallets, underlying infrastructure, NFTs, RWAs, and more. The international participation rate reached a historic high.

2、 Policy implementation: issuance of stablecoin licenses, formation of a compliant ecosystem

Hong Kong's digital asset regulation and ecological construction have achieved a milestone breakthrough. At the opening ceremony of the carnival, Financial Secretary Paul Chan officially announced that Hong Kong has issued the first batch of stablecoin issuer licenses this month, marking the official landing of stablecoin compliance in Hong Kong. This is one of the few cases of stablecoin license issuance in major financial centers around the world, setting a regulatory benchmark for the industry of "risk control and compliance first".

3、 Technology integration: AI+Web3 collaboration, opening up a new paradigm of intelligent economy

The biggest technological highlight of this carnival is the deep integration of AI and Web3, which has become an industry consensus and core direction. The Hong Kong SAR government announced the establishment of the "AI+and Industrial Development Strategy Committee", which will take the collaborative integration of Web3 and AI as the core research direction, and create a global hub for Web3+AI technology research and development, implementation, and large-scale application.

4、 Ecological Transition: From Policy Experiment Field to Global Innovation Hub

The hosting of the 2026 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival is a concentrated reflection of the maturity of the Web3 ecosystem in Hong Kong. In the past few years, Hong Kong has rapidly risen to become a global Web3 core city with the advantages of "one country, two systems", an international financial system, and an open and inclusive attitude. From the policy promotion of the first carnival in 2023 to the landing of licenses, technological integration, and application explosion in 2026, Hong Kong has completed a leap from a "policy experimental field" to an "ecological main battlefield".
