According to the announcement, this price adjustment only involves the cost of optional packages and does not affect the official guide price of the vehicle model. To protect consumer rights, BYD has set a clear price transition period. Customers who place orders with a deposit paid before April 30, 2026 (inclusive) will not be affected by this price adjustment, regardless of the subsequent pick-up time. As BYD's self-developed advanced intelligent assisted driving solution, the "Eye of the Sky" system is divided into three levels: A, B, and C. The B version of this price adjustment is positioned as the mid to high end and is currently the mainstream high-end intelligent driving configuration in the market. This solution is equipped with a single Nvidia Orin-X chip, with a peak computing power of 254 TOPS. On the basis of the pure visual solution of the Eye of Heaven C, an additional laser radar is added, combined with 5 millimeter wave radars and 11 high-definition cameras, to achieve 360 ° no dead angle environment perception.

At the functional level, the Eye of the Sky B supports core functions such as high-speed navigation, city navigation assisted driving, and full scene intelligent parking. It can cope with complex scenarios such as roundabout traffic, narrow road U-turns, and ramp convergence. Its recognition stability at night and in adverse weather is significantly better than pure visual solutions, making it the core support for BYD's high-end intelligent driving experience. As of the end of March this year, the number of BYD assisted driving models has exceeded 2.85 million, and the Eye of the Sky system generates over 180 million kilometers of real road condition data daily. 3、 Root cause of price increase: AI demand squeezing production capacity, skyrocketing storage costs for vehicle specifications

The core incentive for the price adjustment of the intelligent driving optional package this time is the global supply-demand imbalance and price surge of automotive grade storage chips. Since September 2025, the AI industry has experienced explosive growth, with a single AI server requiring about 8 times more DRAM than regular servers and 3 times more NAND flash memory. High profit orders have prompted Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron, the three major storage giants, to shift over 80% of their advanced process capacity to HBM (high bandwidth memory) and high-end DDR5 products, systematically compressing automotive grade storage capacity.

The imbalance between supply and demand directly drives prices to soar. Data shows that the spot price of high-end automotive grade DDR5 has increased by as much as 300%, DDR4 has accumulated an increase of over 150%, and NAND flash memory prices continue to rise. Unlike consumer grade chips, automotive grade storage requires AEC-Q reliability testing, ISO26262 functional safety certification, and other certifications, with a certification cycle of up to 18-24 months.
